Abstract

The nomenclature and modern system of the genus Prunus, the use of indigenous and aliens plant names is observed. A clear differentiation of specific names of fruit plants and names of fruit crops that shouldn`t be equated allows to create a well-knit terminological system of the professional Ukrainian language
